We have received the keys and the certificate of Occupance

The benches are set up, members are coming in and working away on all the new jobs.

We have built the Paint Room and the Metalwork Room and moved the machinery into place. Dust extractors are working to filter the air and mitigate the dust generated by all the work being carried out.

We should have new images and stories from the first gathering in the new shed. Basically, an blank space with lots of tools, machines and bits and pieces rapped in plastic sheeting.

The Port Macquarie Mens Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation that is accessible to all men and whose primary concern is the provision of a safe, friendly and healing environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. A major objective is to advance the health of their male members and to encourage social inclusion.

The Men's Sheds registered with The Australian Men's Shed Association are to maintain an open door policy and conduct themselves in a Non discriminating manner, have a minimal membership or joining fee, ensure and observe safe work practices, aim at improving the well being of all men and support their community.
